I tried installing MS Virtual Machine and XP Mode but my processor doesn't support VT so had to uninstall them. I've also tried running every combination of compatibility mode, but it is either slow (without 3D Accellerator checked) or slower (with 3D Accellerator checked). I've tried setting up the program in the NVidia control panel with lots of groovy 3D accelerator options. So I assume it's a problem with how Windows 7 deals with games that aren't true 3d (like UnReal Tournament or Quake III) and games like Peggle which just have a '3D accellerated mode'. I have the latest Peggle Nights Deluxe which Pop-Cap says is (Windows 7 compatible) and the latest WHQL drivers for NVIDIA that they say are also Windows 7 compatible, but the game runs perfectly on the same computer under XP MCE 2005 and on a different machine under Vista 32 Home Premium and Windows XP Home. *without slowing way down, on Windows 7 Ultimate. Peggle Deluxe is considered by some critics to be an addictive game, with Forbes noting that it entices the user to play just a few more minutes.
